About RawHabit

Living foods advocates say eating without heating is simple and easy.  When you don’t need to cook, you’ll free up lots of time in your schedule.  Just grab a piece of fruit or some vegetables on your way out the door and that’s it.  That works.  Until it doesn’t.

You still need to plan what to eat, shop for food, and prepare that food if you want something more interesting that a plain banana or handful of baby carrots.  Chopping ingredients is a lot of work.  So is soaking and spouting.  So is dehydrating.

RawHabit is about striking a balance between eating plain old produce and gourmet raw vegan dishes.  The goal is to make eating living foods a delicious daily adventure without adding stress to our already too-busy lives.  Eating raw should be like taking a shower: something you do daily, instinctively, routinely, without expending a lot of conscious mental energy.  That means establishing habits.  RawHabit provides advice on simplifying and organizing yourself and your environment so that food preparation becomes intuitive.
